ACADEMY FALL 2025 SEMESTER SCHEDULE
Acting
Whether you are new to acting or wanting to hone your skills, The Academy’s Acting Classes are a great place to get started, improve your talent, and build some great friendships. Bill Smith brings decades of experience as an actor and director to this immersive class, designed for both new students and previous students of his classes. Starting with the basics, students will be taken to the “next level,” making this a good place for rookies and those returning to Academy Acting Classes!

Beginner Quilting
The Academy is proud to introduce the Beginner Quilting Class for the fall semester. Both ornamental and functional, quilts have been a staple of American homes for centuries. Utilizing traditional hand sewing as well as sewing machines, students will learn essential techniques along with helpful tips and tricks for creating their own patchwork quilts. Instructor Leah Leeman is excited to share her passion and knowledge gained from over 20 years of quilt making.

Art
Get ready to dive into the wonderful world of art! In The Academy Art Classes, students of all skill levels will have the opportunity to explore and discuss art's many elements and principles, with a different artist, piece, or style highlighted each week. Practice projects will be employed throughout the term to allow students to develop their abilities, culminating in a personal, unique project that will be presented at semester's end. Let’s get creative!

Chess
Though a thousand years old, chess is taking the modern world by storm, and The Academy’s Chess Class is your chance to discover why “the game of kings” is the king of games. With an emphasis on fundamentals, this class is the perfect springboard for newcomers to start or for more experienced players to advance. Students will engage in a fun mix of instructional time and lighthearted competition, all while learning invaluable life lessons along the way.

Choir
Elementary Choir: As a part of The Academy’s Elementary Choir your child will learn about basic tone production, breath support, unison and two- and three-part singing, as well as be introduced to a wide variety of musical instruments, musical styles, and composers, all in an atmosphere of fun and curiosity.
Middle School/High School Choir: As a part of The Academy’s MS/HS Choir, your student will experience the joys and unique challenges and fulfillment found only in the practice of ensemble singing. As we vocalize and harmonize, we hope to grow personally and corporately through this musical experience.

Class Cost
All classes are $2.00 per class, with a $5 registration fee for new students, total paid by month or semester
