Summary:

Tony-winning Peter and the Starcatcher upends the century-old story of how a miserable orphan comes to be The Boy Who Would Not Grow Up (a.k.a. Peter Pan). A wildly theatrical adaptation of Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson’s best-selling novels. From marauding pirates and jungle tyrants to unwilling comrades and unlikely heroes, Peter and the Starcatcher playfully explores the depths of greed and despair... and the bonds of friendship, duty and love.

Character List –

  • Black Stache – A notorious pirate in search of a worthy adversary. Heartless, flamboyant, theatrical, and surprisingly well-read.

  • Molly Aster – A young Starcatcher apprentice who is curious, intelligent, and deeply committed to doing what is right.

  • Boy / Peter – A lonely orphan who longs for home and belonging and ultimately becomes a hero. Observant, resilient, and imaginative.

  • Grempkin – The cruel schoolmaster of St. Norbert’s Orphanage for Lost Boys; delights in control and misery.

  • Mrs. Bumbrake – Molly’s nanny, tasked with teaching her about proper womanhood; rigid yet oddly charming.

  • Bill Slank – The vicious and greedy captain of the Neverland, willing to sacrifice others for personal gain.

  • Smee – Black Stache’s loyal and devoted first mate, unquestioningly dedicated to his captain.

  • Prentiss – An ambitious, hyper-articulate orphan who desperately wants to be a leader despite his own doubts.

  • Alf – A seasoned seafarer with a kind heart and old-salt charm.

  • Lord Leonard Aster – Molly’s father, a proper Victorian gentleman and secret Starcatcher.

  • Captain Robert Falcon Scott – A bold, patriotic naval captain and old friend of Lord Aster.

  • Ted – An orphan obsessed with food; witty, poetic, and naturally theatrical.

  • Ensemble – Sailors, seamen, seafarers, orphans, pirates, mermaids, mollusks, and narrators.
