Disney’s Frozen Jr. brings the magical land of Arendelle to life on stage with all your favorite characters—Elsa, Anna, Olaf, Kristoff, and more—in a story of love, friendship, and embracing who you are. With unforgettable songs like Let It Go, Do You Want to Build a Snowman?, and For the First Time in Forever, this youth production is packed with adventure, humor, and heart.
Please note there are two forms that must be completed to audition:
General Audition Sign-Up Form – This reserves your audition slot and collects basic contact info.
Additional Required Information Form – This includes important additional information.
Both forms must be completed to receive your audition time and materials.
AUDITIONS:
Date: Sunday, June 1st, 2025
Time: Auditions begin at 2:00 PM — assigned time slots will be emailed after registration
Location: Elwood Opera House
Who Can Audition: Any student ages 6–18
Experience Needed: None! All levels welcome.
What to prepare:
Please come prepared with a 30-second song of your choice. You may sing with a track (bring your own device) or a cappella.
If you are auditioning for a principal role (Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, Hans, or Olaf), you will be required to perform a specific 30-second song excerpt chosen by the directing team. This audition material will be emailed after your audition form is submitted and your audition slot has been confirmed.
Elsa: Song- Dangerous to Dream, measures 12-46, approximate time stamp :24-1:24
Anna: Song - For The First Time in Forever, measures 44-59, approximate time stamp 1:42 - 2:15
Olaf: Song - In Summer, measures 14-23, approximate time stamp :30 - :50
Hans: Song - Love is an Open Door, measure 33-43, approximate time stamp 1:17-1:44

PRACTICES:
Rehearsals begin June 5th.
June 5th - Read through and parent meeting
Sundays from 2:00–5:00 PM
Thursdays from 6:00–8:30 PM
Some Tuesdays from 6:00 - 8:30 PM.
Attendance at all dress rehearsals and performances are mandatory. We will not consider anyone who cannot attend all dress rehearsals during the week of our performances (August 3rd - August 9th, 2025).
We expect participants to communicate any major conflicts at the time of audition.
FINALLY, if you state on your AUDITION APPLICATION that you would be willing to accept any role, please keep your word. If you have a preferred role, please list it. However, withdrawing from a production after the cast list has been announced will make it difficult for you to be cast in future productions. Thanks for understanding!
Character Breakdown – Frozen Jr.
Anna (Young, Middle, Adult)
All three portrayals of Anna are full of light, energy, and optimism. Anna is outgoing, longs for connection—especially with Elsa, and has great comic timing. Strong singers needed for all three.
Vocal Range: A3–D5 (Young/Middle slightly different)
Gender: Female
Elsa (Young, Middle, Adult)
Elsa struggles to control her magical powers, becoming more withdrawn as she grows. She learns to embrace her power with confidence. Requires strong singers and emotional depth.
Vocal Range: F#3–D5 (varies slightly by age)
Gender: Female
Once Young and Middle Anna/Elsa finish their scenes, they may be added to the ensemble.
King Agnarr & Queen Iduna
Protective parents of Elsa and Anna. The King is warm-hearted; the Queen is compassionate and wise.
Gender: Male (King), Female (Queen)
Pabbie & Bulda
Mystical, loving leaders of the Hidden Folk. Parental, quirky, and endearing.
Gender: Any
Bishop
Officiates Elsa’s coronation. Formal and serious presence.

Kristoff
Ice harvester with a sarcastic edge but a big heart. Loyal and charming.

Sven
Kristoff’s loyal reindeer. Non-verbal, comical, and expressive.

Hans
Charming on the outside, scheming on the inside. A true villain with duality.

Weselton
A self-important duke with an exaggerated sense of status. Comedic and bold.

Goofy, lovable snowman with childlike wonder. Excellent comic timing needed.

Cheerful, cozy shopkeeper who leads the show-stopping “Hygge.”
